Zerimar's Gray Mid Fire Line - Slate
This is a versatile clay body with excellent throwing and handbuilding properties. Similar in texture to concrete but slightly more stable for wheel throwing. This clay body only has the occasional speck and is a darker gray.

Fires Dark Gray with specks at Cone 6.  

Total Shrinkage at Cone 6:  12%

Porosity at Cone 6:  0.3 to 0.4%

Note: All of our clays are raw kaolin. This means that the clays are not processed like commercial clays, they are mixed in small batches and usually have a little extra moisture and have not been pugged. To get the most out of the clays, dry out to your satisfaction and wedge, wedge, and wedge again.
